Do you want to live and speak more boldly for Jesus Christ? I know I do.
How badly do we want it? Do we want it enough to ask, seek, and knock until God answers us? Or, if we’re honest, would we rather just keep wishing we were bolder while staying where we feel safe and relatively comfortable?
Our flesh likes the second option. “The desires of the flesh are against the desires of the Spirit, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do” (Galatians 5:17).
Sometimes we have to step into the arena of the unknown as we heard this week from Sam Childers “Machine Gun Preacher”. “Faith is not faith until the risk is exposed”.
To have boldness we must keep praying for it. Paul commented to the Ephesians “may I declare the gospel boldly, as I ought to speak” (Ephesians 6:20). Boldness is not an option for us, but it’s also not a given. Since it is not a constant gift of the Spirit, we must pray for it frequently.
If we are serious about choosing to be bold, God will grant us our request (Luke 11:13; John 15:7), and enable us to “walk by the Spirit so we will not gratify the desires of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16).

Howdy neighbour! How have you been? I feel like we haven't spoken in such a long time and admittedly it's been way too long between Blogs. There have been so many changes and improvements done around Turningpoint that it was hard keeping up, but we're back and delighted to run through what's been happening during the month of August.
The month of August presented some tough challenges for a few people and some joyful highlights as well. We tend to lose focus at times of how great God is, but we've just got to remember that He is our shield, our protector and our salvation.
Sadly, this month we lost a member of our school community as we farewelled Xinyu and her mum after the tragic accident outside our school gates. Upon leaving Parent / Teacher interviews, their vehicle was struck by an oncoming car. A tragic loss for their family and our school community. It marked the fourth accident to happen outside our entrance but with a tragic conclusion.
The outpouring of Community support has been tremendous and only the other day, a lovely couple who live in Blind Bight dropped off a hand made sculpture, dedicated to the memory of Xinyu and her her mum. The couple felt compelled to craft such a beautiful item as this loss of life impacted their lives as well.
A petition has now been organised to have the speed limit lowered around the school area, hopefully VicRoads will help us decrease the danger risks surrounding our School and Church. Let us all pray for a favourable outcome.
If you didn't know, now you know! Our Services on Sundays are now being 'Live Streamed' on Facebook, so now, if you miss out on Church, log onto our Facebook page and hear what the message was for the Sunday. Alternatively, you can watch the sermon on Youtube
We launched our Live Streaming during the month of August and are looking for volunteers with a heart for video production to join our team, so if you're interested please let us know. Brant Guichard heads up our Video Media Team so he'd love to hear from you. E: firstname.lastname@example.org
There has been some great news coming out of our Turningpoint Support Centre with many new souls being saved for the Kingdom.
Over the past month, we've seen so many of our clients attend our Sunday services and so many more giving their lives to the Lord. Just on Sunday the 27th during our night service, we saw a few getting baptised, what a great WIN for the Kingdom.
If you're not sure what the Support Centre is, here is a short overview.
Our Support Centre was set up with the heart of reaching the needy of our Community. We are an emergency relief centre that specialise in food parcels, so every Friday we have clients from all over Casey South, that attend our centre and receive food parcels.
But our aim is not to give a hand out but more of a hand up, so we interview these clients, build relationships and find out how we as a church can help them out of their struggling situation. We inform them of the many services that we have ie: Childcare, Kindergarten, Mainly Music, Splat & Stripes Youth Programs, Financial counselling, Counselling, Courses, Seminars and much much more.
We are called to be salt and light in this world and every week we outwardly project this to our community. The fact that we now have Brunch on a Friday has been very successful for us. Pastor Johno and his evangelist team, have an opportunity to connect more with our clients and present the Gospel in a way that makes it easier for them to understand and acknowledge.
Well done team!
Speaking of Baptisms, there's been a few across our Churches this month, why not enjoy this special item from Turningpoint Cranbourne, peformed by this lovely mum and daughter duo for our Baptism night. Grab yourself a cuppa, sit back and enjoy.........
We had the 'Machine Gun Preacher' speaking at our Cranbourne campus on Friday night, the 25the of August, as part of an invite from our Splat Youth Ministries. It was an amazing night.
Michelle Strotten from Turningpoint KooWeeRup stated, "I've seen the movie, Sam Childers was amazing. I ended up buying his documentary and his book because it was so great!"
The auditorium was full and Sam's testimony blew a lot of minds away. It was a great night.
Our friends at Creation Ministries International also paid Turningpoint Cranbourne a visit on the 20th of August, opening our eyes to the debate between evolution and creation.
It was a very informative night which answered a lot of questions about the creation of earth, the numerous events that occurred in the bible and how we can be sure that the bible is in fact, the true and concrete Word of God. It's been a great month with lots of great material to ponder and stew upon.
What about them Bailey's aye!?
It's been a while since we've heard about their travels around Australia so here is some updated information on where they are and what they've been up to.....
Last night in Townsville
We were mentoring a group on using the Gifts of the Spirit.
One guy spoke in his prayer language for the first time. "You explained it so well!" He exclaimed. "I have been waiting for something to drop down! I spoke in tongues easily when I learned I already had the Spirit in me & just needed to start speaking"
Now he was flowing in the Gifts too- getting words; seeing pictures.
One lady requested prayer for pain in her neck that was "driving her crazy". After us teaching on how to pray for the sick, they had a go. One man saw a dark spot moving around in her neck. Suddenly it exploded. Then he put his hand on her neck. Later she said "Who put their hand on my neck? It felt so warm & the pain has gone!"
An extremely painful nerve in a toe was healed. The pain began to go from a back. We took authority over anxiety.
First time messages in tongues. First time interpretations. First time prophecies.
They are all pretty excited. "We want to keep going! We don't want to go back to the old ways!"
Now we are in Calen a rural town near Mackay. It's a Uniting church. The people here are so hungry to hear our teaching on the Spirit. It was wonderful to hear them stepping out into using the Gifts of the Spirit. Messages in tongues, interpretation, prophecy. Loving it!
Head over to Ps Rob Bailey's facebook page and keep up with their travels
We've had some very big successes with our CULTUREPOINT Nights with the sounds of worship in different tongues. It's been amazing to see the different cultures bring to Turningpoint, worship in their native tongue.
Sunday the 10th of Sept at 6pm, will be the Indian Culturepoint Night and we're looking forward to seeing everyone there. It will be a night full of Praise, Worship, Food and Fellowship.
Why not invite a friend or a family member to this special worship night!
We've got sooooooooo many different events coming up in the month of September so make sure that you don't miss out on anything that is happening around the traps.

Well, there was a brief run down on a few of the events that transpired during the month of August. I love receiving stories and testimonies about what's been happening with you and your life, so if you want to share something with me, please email: email@example.com
Don't forget that we have our normal services on Sunday 10:30am and 6pm and this Sunday to kick off the month of September, we have Father's Day, so if you know any Dad's out there that could do with some cheering up, fellowship and a gift, than invite them along to our service this Sunday and make it a Father's Day to remember.
God bless you all!
