Out and About

Wow! There's been a lot of things happening out and about in our Community.

We've just finished our #Courageous2017 conference, Iron & Clay put on a great show for us during our Cafe' Church night and now we're looking forward to our special Mother's Day service this coming Sunday.

It's been a while since I've posted anything or emailed out any news from turningpoint Cranbourne, so why don't we take a look back at what's been happening with all our Church family and bring everyone up to date.

OUR J.O.Y group was out and about last weekend, selling sausages out the front of Fresh Value Market in Cranbourne (opp. Bunnings). Just Older Youth are committed to building a group where the more mature members of our Church can meet, socialise and share a bite to eat.

Phil and Victoria Watts (pictured) have a heart to see all the more matured members of our Community, find a place where they can share, relate and make new friends. They would love for you to come down and bring a friend along to meet others with the same interests and hobbies.

The CRC Victorian State Conference went down last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and the house of the Lord was filled with Pastors from all over Victoria, worshipping, praising and dancing to the Lord.

Richie Seltzer - Imagine Church Calgary, Canada was the guest speaker and refuelled our passion for the things of the Lord. People all over the auditorium were being filled with the spirit of laughter and treated to some fantastic food from the Word of God.

It was also an opportunity to recognise and honour a few of turningpoint's very own. Kolan Mithra, Joel and Sieni Cayzer were ordained on the last night of Conference, becoming trainee Pastors while Pastor Sean La'Brooy received his full Ministers credentials becoming a full fledged Pastor. God is good!

We were all treated to a spectacular opening act from our different blend of cultures who attend turningpoint and it quickly became the hot topic of the Conference.

A very special shoutout to our African family, Sri Lankan family, Pacific Island family and Filipino who took a lot of time and effort to prepare the opening act. Let's do that again in the near future :)

Also, on behalf of Pastors Phil & Norma, a HUGE thank you goes out to all the volunteers and supporters who turned up from Wednesday through to Friday night and helped in any way they could. We had people vacuuming the auditorium to wiping down the windows. It was a great expression of a heart of servitude and it was greatly appreciated. The food was delicious and the happiness that surrounded our Church was no less than amazing. Thank you for your efforts, thank you for your commitment and thank you for the love you showed.

We were honoured to host Iron & Clay as they brought their high school ministry to our Cafe Church night. With well over 100 in attendance, the night was filled with fun, laughter, music and dancing.

Iron and Clay bring a fresh and vibrant approach to spreading the love of Christ amongst our younger generation. You can follow them on facebook here ----->> Iron and Clay

How great have our Culture Point nights been?! Kicking off with our Sri Lankan family a couple of months ago and then just recently our African family charmed and wowed us with all the bright and colourful dancing and singing and that FOOD!?! Wowzah! That food was DERICIOUS!

The Pacific Islanders are up next and are busily preparing for a great night of cultural worship and thanksgiving. Sunday June 18th at our 6pm service, the auditorium will be filled with music and worship from the pacific. We hope that you can note that in your calendar and make sure to come, it will be a great night with lots of food.

Our Church is so rich in it's cultural influences, that it is filled with so many different nationalities. Our reach as a church goes well beyond the borders of Australia and so even our young members have a heart to reach out to other nations. At the end of the year, our Splat Youth will be making their maiden voyage to Uganda and so you might be seeing a lot of them roaming the highways and byways selling sweets and delicious little goodies to help raise funds for their trip. So why not support our youth and help them get to Uganda this year so they can spread the love of Christ beyond our walls.

From Warragul to Yarram, from the bustling cities to the quiet country towns, our Itinerant Pastors Rob and Liz Bailey are out and about, meeting new people, preaching to new souls and living the life that Jesus has planned for them.

What have the missing Bailey's been up to? Stay in touch with the Baileys on Facebook or send them an encouraging word through our 'Contact Us' page. Let the Bailey's know that the work they do is amazing and if you would like Ps Rob to speak at your Church, let them know.

Our Brothers and Sisters out in Lilydale put on a great family day event, with lots of the Community coming out to share in the day. Why not check out what they've been up to by clicking on the name above and taking a look.

Just down the road in Lyndhurst, our family there were celebrating their 9th Anniversary. With special guests from the local council, everyone was able to share and testify of what TLDC meant to them.

Check out their facebook page for more photos from the day. How delicious does that chocolate cake look?
